Year 1993
A number of consulting offices were invited to study the first stage of the economic feasibility and prepare the basic designs necessary for the hospital after the approval of Ministry of Health and to implement the third stage, which includes medical devices and hospital licenses by Health Affairs and licensing committees in the Ministry, Al-Qassim Branch.
Year 1998
The foundation stone was laid for the hospital by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Year 1999 - 2008
The start of the implementation of the project and completing equipping the hospital with equipment, medical devices, and information systems.
Year 2009
The trial run of the hospital.
Year 2010 – Now
The hospital was officially opened on December 28, 2010, by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince of Qassim region, with a capacity of 100 beds. It includes orthopedic, ENT, urology and dialysis units, Internal, endocrine and diabetes clinic, general surgery, gastroenterology, and endoscopy unit, neurosurgery, dermatology, cardiology and catheter center, radiology department, chest clinic, pediatric clinic, gynecology, and obstetrics clinic, gynecology physiotherapy department supervised by specialized female staff, laboratory Department, ICU unit, ICU unit for newborns, Incubation department for premature babies, ER, and Anesthesia. It also includes a Continuous Education and Training section that offers many seminars, scientific conferences and short courses approved by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties that will develop and increase knowledge, skills, and performance of our medical staff. AlQassim National Hospital keep to attract distinguished medical staff of consultants, specialists, and administrators, which has about 400 employees.
Every year, Al Qassim National Hospital looks forward to develop its medical services to achieve the highest quality standards by recently obtaining the accreditation certificate from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI), after it succeeded in achieving the required accreditation standards that aim to ensure high quality in the provision of health care. The achievement is an extension of the hospital’s success in achieving the American Health Services Quality Certification (JCI).
